Lucknow/Agra: Uttar Pradesh’s young talent delivered an impressive performance at the IndiaSkills 2025–26 North Regional Competition, winning a total of 16 medals and bringing pride to the state. The four-day event, held at the BSNL Ground in Agra, concluded on a high note after showcasing exceptional skill, innovation, and technical expertise.
Competing across 41 skill trades, over 360 participants from five northern states and four Union Territories took part in the prestigious competition. Uttar Pradesh was represented by 40 participants, selected through state-level contests. Out of them, 16 participants secured top positions with their outstanding performances.
The medal tally for Uttar Pradesh included:
- 1 Gold Medal
- 3 Silver Medals
- 7 Bronze Medals
- 5 Medallions for Excellence
Strong Performance in Competitive Arena
Participants demonstrated their expertise in modern and emerging fields such as robotics, information technology, fashion technology, welding, and graphic design. Experts lauded the innovation and technical proficiency displayed by UP’s youth during the competition.

Mission Director Encourages Winners
Congratulating the winners, Pulkit Khare, Mission Director of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, praised both the participants and the support teams behind their success. He highlighted that the achievement reflects strong teamwork between trainees and departmental staff.
“Our focus now shifts to the National Skill Competition scheduled from March 29 to April 3. The mission will provide all necessary training and support to ensure our participants perform at their best,” Khare said.
Eyes on National and Global Stage
Following their success at the regional level, the winners will now represent Uttar Pradesh at the upcoming National Skill Competition. Preparations, including specialized training and mentorship, have already begun to help them excel at the national level and potentially represent India at the prestigious WorldSkills competition.
